About

I am the wife of an incredibly supportive husband, and together we have two busy guys {ages thirteen and eleven}.  We also have a sweet girl, Tootsie.  She quickly caught on that we are a family of suckers for a sweet puppy face, so she has worked her way into our hearts quite nicely.

I have always had a special love for photographs.  I love the details that are captured, and I love the idea of literally holding onto a piece of the past.  As soon as my children came into my life, my love for photographs was only intensified.  It was then that I realized my passion for photography.  I bought my first dslr when my oldest son was about nine months old and jumped into learning all that I could about how to capture the moments I did not want to forget.  I often joke that my children will have flip books of their lives to share with their own families one day, but nothing makes me happier than being able to catch special moments {both planned and unplanned} for us all to enjoy again and again together.

Outside of our daily routines, we enjoy exploring North Carolina’s beautiful hiking trails, taking family bike rides, heading to Charlotte Checkers games, cheering on our Carolina Panthers, taking road trips to visit family in Pittsburgh, New York and Florida, and cheering on our guys in their various adventures.

If you would like to schedule a session with me or simply say hello, please feel free to email me at bethdevittphotography@gmail.com or submit a form via the ‘Contact’ tab on the homepage.

Thank you, so kindly, for your interest!
