As a Pittsburgh, PA native raising my family in Charlotte, NC, it is not lost on me that being surrounded by good friends is a blessing. My husband and I have been incredibly lucky to meet the people who we have in our lives now, and quite honestly, I can’t think of how things could be any better {unless, of course, our family/’old’ friends were closer}.
I simply do not know if there is a way for this family to become any more darling – really and truly. Our children are the same ages, so we have been lucky enough to take on the preschool years together. Isn’t it a lovely thing when your children go ahead and befriend children with parents who eventually become your friends?
When Jenny reached out to me about a photo shoot, she wanted to be sure to somehow incorporate the treehouse that they have in their backyard. This treehouse has been a labor of love from her husband to her sweet little ladies, so it holds a great deal of lovely memories for them. From meals, to painting, to lounging around on lazy summer days, this treehouse has become the soul of their backyard {not to mention the envy of my boys}.
Although the morning that we met was super chilly, the energy of this family warmed it right on up. This is one of the most wholesome, kind, all-American lovely families you could ever meet. Thank you all for letting me spend time with you at your lovely home, which just happens to be decorated to perfection. {I keep asking Jenny to please go into business so that I can hire her to come decorate my home for me, but she has yet to bite}.
Since Jenny is a talented photographer herself, she simply wanted me to focus on family shots or shots where she was in the frame {love, love, love that idea so much}, so I hope you will enjoy their images.
