i had a more technically correct photo chosen for today’s image, but i kept coming back to this one. tonight was open house for first grade. once we got home, i wanted to snap a picture of this guy to document the occasion, but he was so pumped up that it was tough. i love the happiness that i see in his eyes in this image. his sideways smile just oozes excitement. there is so much goodness in store for him this year. i loved seeing him connect with old friends and meet his new teacher. he loves school, and i love him. i think first grade is going to be his year.
