shortly after everyone was awake this morning, jack announced that it was such a gorgeous morning that we should go for a family bike ride after breakfast. so, we did. shortly before we tucked him into bed tonight, he asked if we would like his last kindergarten hugs {since he starts first grade tomorrow}, and, of course, we took them. i couldn’t have written a more perfect ending for the summer that we have shared.
