Over the years, I have had a number of clients ask if they can include their dogs in their family photo sessions. For those of you who know me well, you won’t be surprised to know that I always welcome dogs at sessions.
I have been a dog lover for as long as I can remember, and if I get to leave a session with dog fur on my clothes, then I am a happy gal!

Not only is a dog an important family member, but they also have a way of bringing out genuine feelings in their other family members. So, as you think forward to your next family session, please consider bringing your sweet pup along with you!

And you need not worry about if they will cooperate – whether they are little and cuddly or big and lanky, the energy and love that they will add will be worth it. Whether it is a kiss on your nose, smooches to your little one’s cheek, or a happy dog just pleased to be a part of the experience, including them will take your photos to the next level. If you or one of your family members is nervous about the session and you have a sweet pup in the house, bringing that sweet little furry face can cure their nerves better than anything else.
I, personally, don’t think you will ever regret including these beloved parts of your family into your session. Photographs are the perfect way to treasure these moments in your life, and our pets are such an integral piece in our lives.
