More often than not, when I meet a new family for a photo session, I leave the session feeling as if I’ve known them for years. When a family allows me in to capture their family – their most prized possession – it is an honor that I do not take lightly. It is so important to me that anyone I photograph feels comfortable, so I do my best to get to know my families throughout our time together and keep the mood light.
As soon as the Beyer family stepped out of their car, I knew instantly that it was going to be a wonderful session. We had worked together to carefully select a location that was not only beautiful but also held a lot of meaning for their family. Boyce Road Park is such a hidden gem, and it was a place where they had spent many hours walking their dogs and watching cross country races.
Plus, they brought along their sweet pup, Pip. So, how could it be anything less than perfect?
The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and the Beyer family was so much fun! I love a family who jokes around and truly enjoys each other. And they were all of that and more. They are my new inspiration for what I want my family to be like when my children are older. Is there any better takeaway than that? Not for me.
