One of the things that I love about photographing families {that is simply just an added bonus to the job} is that I get to see the connection between the family members. I get a special seat to see just how each family connects with one another: the way they talk to one another, the way they try to get giggles from each other, the way they primp one another to make sure they look ‘just’ right, the many ways that they show their love.
This adorable family was a friend of a friend, and they were my very first clients with whom I was not already friends. Thus, there was a new level of nervousness for me as I prepared for their session. And then I met them. And instantly I was calmed, and my nervousness turned into pure happiness. This family had such a warm, genuine, loving interaction with one another. They were completely game for anything, and it was a gift just for me to be a part of it all.
The two children brought such great energy to the session – not to mention such lovely behavior. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening with this fantastic family, and although we arrived at the session strangers, I certainly feel that we left as friends. I will forever be grateful to them for trusting me to capture these memories for them.
