This past week, beth devitt photography turned one year old. While there was no big celebration dedicated to the occasion, it seems entirely fitting that beth devitt photography was giving back on its own big day. A beth devitt photography photo session was donated to the silent auction held at my youngest’s preschool, and as I reflected on the year that brought me here, it seemed like the perfect way to honor this past year.
The people who I have met, the experiences that I have had, the support and encouragement from family and friends, the lessons that I have learned, the time that I have spent, the skills that I have practiced, the photos that I have created, and the memories that I have captured have all put me where I am today. The idea of capturing a moment to have forever is something that I have adored since I was a child. Now as an adult, time seems to go by a little faster and memories seem even a little sweeter. Thus, being able to freeze time with beautiful images for families to cherish is sincerely a dream come true for me. I take this opportunity so very seriously and put my whole self into all that goes with photographing families. So, looking back on my first year in business has flooded me with emotions — happiness, excitement, pride, amazement, and hopefulness. I am so grateful that I am able to do what I love and, as a result, make others happy.
I have been awarded such amazing opportunities throughout this past year, and I am so grateful to say that the future looks brighter than ever. So, I thank all of my clients from this past year for your support and the faith that you had in me to capture such precious moments in your lives. I look forward to capturing so very many more in the years ahead because the cliche’ is so true — time sure does fly when you’re having fun!
